Pixelthreads: Final Fantasy XV‘s Fashion is Deceptively Simple

Final Fantasy XV's clothing may only have one color, but its fashion is far from basic.

Final Fantasy XV continues a strong tradition of fashion, and it makes full use of the graphical capabilities at our disposal in a way that most big games don't bother with.

Final Fantasy XV Avoids Huge Day One Patch by … Delaying Release by Two Months

It's one or the other, really.

Game development is hard—almost as hard as keeping fans happy. In the case of Final Fantasy XV, the game has been delayed to make sure it's fully polished and doesn't require a patch on its launch day to make it suitably playable, which you may remember from a bygone era as "how game development works." You can't please everyone, though, and after a weekend of fan frustration, the delay isn't necessarily welcome news.

Final-ly Fed Up: Why Are Final Fantasy XV Fans So Anti-Woman?

Not even our games are safe.

I've been careful with my words, but even as a man with a clearly-male screenname, the pushback I get from Final Fantasy fans who are desperate to keep FFXV's all-male playable cast is ridiculous. And the really sad thing? It's practically fandom-wide.

Final Fantasy XV Director Says an All-Male Party Makes the Game “More Approachable”

Because girls have cooties?

Final Fantasy XV looks amazing. ...And by that I mean its visuals. Its gender representation, on the other hand, looks terrible. The game's main party is dudes-only as we had previously feared, and Hajime Tabata, the director, not only made that choice consciously, but specifically to make the game "more approachable" for players. We'll pause here to let you pick your head back up off your desk.

11 Next-Gen Video Games We’re Excited to See at E3 2013

In all seriousness, we want to see a whole mess of gameplay.

It's finally here! The Electronic Entertainment Expo, E3 for short, has already kicked off with a series of press conferences in the past couple days. Regardless of how you feel about the console war, the Big Three are throwing their weight around as far as video games go. Some are more interesting than others, but there are scads of neat games coming out on next-gen consoles. Here's 11 games that we're particularly hoping we see more of as the first actual day of the show kicks off.

Pre-E3 Leak Shows Final Fantasy Versus XIII Upgraded to Final Fantasy XV

When Final Fantasy XIII was announced, it was announced as part of a series of games set in the same universe, dubbed Fabula Nova Crystallis. Included in that series was FFXIII, a mobile game turned PSP game now called Final Fantasy Type-O, and Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Unveiled at E3 way back in 2006, FFvsXIII has been in development for around seven years now. It has basically become vaporware, so much so that the much maligned Final Fantasy XIII already had a direct sequel while FFvsXIII doesn't even have a demo. E3 is coming up next week, starting June 5, and thanks to what seems to be a leak, there are rumblings that Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be shown off in its new form as a full-fledged Final Fantasy XV. Check out the video leak below the break.
