P!nk decided to amplify this sentiment by resharing a post from StopAntisemitism that described the performance as “awful” and claimed that concertgoers were owed “apologies and refunds.” She didn’t add any of her own words to the repost, but that silence spoke volumes to her followers.
The backlash was immediate and intense
Critics were quick to point out the irony of P!nk taking issue with political expression on stage, especially considering her own past work. One fan noted, “The woman wrote Dear Mr. President and performed it for years. Now suddenly getting political during a show is a problem? Super disappointed in her.”
