A California professional returned home from work before 9:00 AM after discovering a major wardrobe malfunction that went unnoticed during her 4-minute walk into the office. The incident left her so shaken that she joked that she’d quit her job altogether.
TikTok creator Wendy (@wendyymak) detailed the embarrassing incident in a viral video that has surpassed 4.6 million views. She explained that after parking her car roughly 300 yards from her building, she made the routine walk toward her office under bright morning sunlight.
Walking in front of a group of male colleagues, Wendy had no idea that the back seam of her lightweight linen trousers had completely separated. This exposed several inches of her skin until she met up with friends inside.

Setting the scene for viewers, Wendy described the exact layout and lighting conditions of her morning arrival. “My parking lot is about 300 yards away from my office. The walk takes a solid 4 minutes, okay?” she explained. “I’m walking in, I am walking west. Sun rises in the east. Okay, my entire back is lit up by the sun. Glowing, if you will.”
Throughout the walk, she noted that at least four male coworkers were walking directly behind her path all the way through the main entrance. However, none of the employees behind her allegedly gave any warning or called attention to her attire before she entered her office.
The situation reportedly only came to light when Wendy met up with a group of female colleagues to fill their water bottles at the company cafe before starting their morning tasks.
Coworkers revealed the rip inside the office lobby
While chatting, one of her coworkers gasped and quietly called her name, prompting Wendy to check if she had a bug on her back. Upon turning around, one of her friends informed her that her flowy linen pants had torn completely down the center back seam, revealing roughly four inches of her backside.
“My pants were ripped right on the seam… They’re very thin, very flowy, they move with the wind. My entire a crack is hanging out. Four inches of just straight a— crack. No one said anything on the walk in. No one said, ‘Hey ma’am, excuse me ma’am, your cheeks are out.’”
Wendy included photographic proof of the tear in the clip, demonstrating how noticeable the seam separation was against the fabric. At this point, she was mortified by the prospect of facing the same colleagues in upcoming shifts. So, she joked about needing to resign, relocate, and overhaul her appearance entirely.
Wendy said that she immediately clocked out and headed straight home, leaving viewers with a lighthearted reminder that clothing mishaps can turn any standard morning arrival into an unexpected early dismissal.
