  1. Watch Psy Be a Jerk and Wear a Sausage Scarf in His New Video “Gentleman”

Psy's smash hit "Gangnam Style" practically broke the Internet with its huge popularity. So expectations are high for his follow up video. The world waited on the edge of its collective seat for the next Psy effort, but everyone can sit back, relax, and check out his new video for "Gentleman". In terms of ridiculousness, I'm not sure it lives up to "Gangnam Style", but the song's pretty catchy, and it has Psy wearing a sausage like a scarf. Check it out.

  2. Sesame Street’s The Count Celebrates One Billion YouTube Views The Only Way He Knows How [Video]

A few weeks ago I told you about Sesame Street's goal of hitting one billion views on YouTube to put them in the same pantheon as the likes of PSY's "Gangnam Style," Lady Gaga, and Justin Bieber. As of Valentine's Day they were about 22 million views shy of their goal, so Telly pleaded for more views, promising a great "Top Secret" video when the goal was reached. Well guess what just happened. Check out this new Sesame Street video with The Count counting to one billion.

  3. Here’s a Trio of Doom 3 Models Dancing to “Gangnam Style”

Some might say that PSY's massively popular "Gangnam Style" has already saturated the Internet, airwaves, and popular culture in general. They might be right, but there's an argument to be made that we're through the looking glass, people. We've gone too far. The only way to truly move up and out is through embracing everything that is "Gangnam Style" with open arms. PlayCanvas understands, as they've provided a trio of Doom 3 models dancing to "Gangnam Style" in WebGL. It's pretty much the bottom of the Internet, and we couldn't be more excited.

  4. Curiosity Sends Lackluster New Year’s Eve Message From Mars

This might sound like a spoiled rich kid complaining they asked for a Ferrari for their birthday but got a Lamborghini instead, but when NASA's Curiosity rover tweeted that it would have a special New Year's message for the people gathered in Times Square last night, I thought it would be more... special? It was nice of NASA to send a message at all, but I hope the message Curiosity sends me for my birthday is better-- and that it's a Lamborghini.

  5. Today Will be PSY’s Last Performance of “Gangnam Style,” But Let’s Not Get Too Excited

Proving that dreams do in fact come true on the night of New Year's Eve, worldwide internet phenomenon PSY -- to clarify, we are not saying that he is in any way deserving of such a title -- announced that tonight's Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve will play host to his final "Gangnam Style" live performance in North America. Let us say that once more, because we simply cannot get enough of how sweet it sounds: Last time. In North America. As in EVER! While PSY will still be performing "Gangnam Style" and its signature dance move in other countries around the world as a farewell tour of sorts, we on the western side of the globe can be the first to finally stop stuffing cotton and other nearby objects into our ears to muffle the auditory garbage. But let's not get too ahead of ourselves, people, because according to sources, one rubbish song-and-dance from PSY apparently begets another.

  6. This is All Your Fault: “Gangnam Style” First YouTube Video in History to Reach One Billion Views

Yeah, hey, thanks a lot, everybody. Due to your insatiable appetite for all things insipid and obnoxiously viral on the Internet, the total number views for South Korean rapper -- and we use that term loosely -- PSY's "Gangnam Style" music video has skyrocketed to over one billion views and will likely continue to grow unless we as a people actually stop sharing it with everyone and their grandmother. Just so you know, pop culture is a part of our legacy, and legacies have a habit of outlasting the people that spawned it. Now future generations will recognize us for our inexplicable admiration for a man that enjoyed dancing like a horse.

  7. Gangnam Style is Actually the Most Popular Video on YouTube Now

I know, I know, I know. You've heard enough about Gangnam Style. It's been months since the music video kickstarted a little K-Pop fad and a wave of online spoofs and imitations. Back when it was at the height of its popularity, we reported that the music video had become the most "liked" video on YouTube. While it was extremely well-regarded, the video still trailed behind music videos from American pop stars like Justin Bieber and LMFAO in terms of actual views... But no longer! As of today, Gangnam Style, mastering it's potential as both  pop music video and viral internet sensation, is now the most viewed thing on YouTube, not just the most popular.

  8. Father of “Gangnam Style” Performer Reaps the Benefits, Sees Company Share Price Increase 285%

There's no good way to explain the sudden spike in the share price of Korean semiconductor manufacturer DI. Over three weeks, the company has rocketed from around $1.80 to $5.12 a share. The shift is baffling, considering that there's been no change financially for the company otherwise. It's not like they unveiled some amazing contraption that might drive such growth. DI's main shareholder, however, just so happens to be Park Won-ho. He's the father of Park Jae-sang -- as in PSY, the performer behind the immensely popular "Gangnam Style" song.

  9. This Is Gangnam Style in Klingon. ‘Nuff Said

    Dear Internet,

A couple of weeks ago, we told you that you could stop making Gangnam Style parodies, because the Deadpool one was so clearly brilliant. You ignored our advice, Internet, and it turns out, you were right to do so. We regret the error. If you had followed our advice, the K-pop hit of the minute may never have been translated (oh, very roughly) into Klingon and given a Star Trek parody, and the world we live in would be a poorer one for that. Now, Klingon Gangnam Style is a thing, and one that brings us great joy. Forgive us for our hubris, Internet, and thank you for making our lives better with this. That is all.

  10. Gangnam Style is Officially The Most Popular Video on YouTube… Sort of

How do you measure a video's popularity on YouTube? Conventional wisdom says; "look at the number of views", but just because a video has a huge number of hits means that everybody enjoyed what they saw: It's implied, but not clearly stated. That's why the internet has "like" buttons. After all, "liking" something, whether you do it on YouTube or Facebook or Google+, acts as an endorsement what you saw. The barometer for judging the king of random internet videos will likely be a hard-fought internet for years to come, but in the meantime a new contender has earned a solid claim to the throne. The Guiness Book of World Records named everyone's favorite K-Pop hit, PSY's Gangnam Style, the most "liked" video in the history of YouTube.
