Disney’s Robots Can Play Catch With Your Kids, but Will Steal Their Affection

Dear parents. Disney, the company that wants to absorb all childhood happiness, both past and present, is planning to replace you with robots. unsatisfied with the secondary love and attention they receive from controlling your favorite characters and cartoons, Disney means to spend quality time with the world's children in an attempt to feel what it's like to have a child of its own. (No, having subsidiaries like ABC and ESPN doesn't count.) Although the Mom-and-Pop-a-Tron 5000 isn't ready to hit the street yet, Disney making serious progress. For example, the robotics experts at Disney's lab in Pittsburgh have created a humanoid robot that can play a game of catch.

The Rumored Multiplayer Modes for Bioshock Infinite Have Definitely Been Cancelled

Irrational Games creative director Ken Levine has confirmed that Bioshock Infinite will definitely not feature a multiplayer component in a pair of tweets today. The announcement comes months after a report from Kotaku suggested that many of the game's rumored multiplayer modes had been cut in an attempt to focus the development of the single-player campaign.

New Stats Suggest MegaUpload Actually Helped the Film Industry More Than it Hurt

Regardless of whether or not you engage in online piracy, I think we can all agree that common sense dictates that the practice would be hurting copyright-holding media companies like record labels and film studios. Well, it seems that, in this case, common sense doesn't hold up under scrutiny. Research from the Munich School of Management and Copenhagen Business School has supposedly gathered statistical evidence indicating that dubious online streamer MegaUpload may have actually helped global box office sales for all but the biggest of blockbusters.
