Woman’s father returns to her life and starts sending her money. Then her mother allegedly takes it and calls her a ‘gold digger’ on Facebook

Money can ruin relationships.

A TikToker says her mother took the money her father sent her after he came back into her life, then called her “a gold digger of a daughter” in a Facebook post. Keamashita (@keamashita2.0) opens her video by acknowledging that the story could make her mom seem like a bad person, and she says she’s had experiences with her mom that caused her pain. She asks viewers not to be negative about her mom or slander her, and says their relationship is on the mend now.

Keamashita’s story starts when she was around 17 and continues for what seems like a few years from that point. That was when she had a reunion with her biological father, who, the way she tells it, didn’t know about her until then.

She believed her dad felt bad about not being in her life for so long. He paid off her mom’s debts and started giving Keamashita money as a sort of allowance.

Her mom had full access to her bank account

Because she was under 18, Keamashita had to have a bank account linked to a guardian, which in this case was her mom. That meant her mom could see transactions and access the account.

According to Keamashita, her mom would take money when her dad sent it to her. She found out when her purchases kept failing, then checked her account and saw the money had gone missing. She says she didn’t want to tell her mom she needed permission to take the money, but she wanted to be told when she took it. Her mom seemed upset by the request.

That ‘gold digger’ line still stings

Keamashita then skips ahead to when she was in Switzerland and someone told her about a post her mom had made on Facebook, which Keamashita doesn’t use. According to Keamashita, her mom wrote a long post about raising her, then being left behind when her father showed up, and called her “a gold digger of a daughter.”

Keamashita says the phrase still feels like a wound. She says she still carries some of that pain, but she’s working on mending her relationship with her mom anyway.
