Minneapolis woman agrees to share restroom stall with a stranger at Cowboy Jack’s, stands shocked as she allegedly begins pooping and refuses to wipe

A Minneapolis woman says an act of restroom courtesy at Cowboy Jack’s took a chaotic turn when a stranger she agreed to share a stall with reportedly proceeded to defecate directly in front of her. According to her, she even declared she would not wipe, and touched her face before walking out.

Content creator Hannah (@hepper_hannah) recounted the encounter in a TikTok video recorded well after the alleged incident. It reportedly happened when Hannah was out with friends at Cowboy Jack’s, a popular downtown rooftop bar venue. There, while waiting in a long line for the restroom facilities, she allegedly struck up a friendly conversation with the women behind her.

Subsequently, when the spacious handicap stall opened, the women allegedly asked Hannah if they could step inside with her to bypass the wait. Hannah didn’t think much of it and reportedly agreed. But as soon as they got the nod, one of the women allegedly pushed ahead of Hannah, relieved themselves right in front of her, and exited without washing up.

A shared restroom stall at Cowboy Jack’s turned into an unexpected hygiene nightmare

Recounting the night in her video, Hannah explained that she initially went to the restroom alone while her friends remained on the rooftop. While chatting with several women in the queue, she reportedly reached the front of the line just as the largest stall became vacant.

“Couple girls behind me are like, ‘We have to go really bad. Can we just hop in the stall with you? It’s the big stall, the handicap stall,’” Hannah said. “I’m like, ‘Sure, come on. Lots of bonding happens in these bathrooms, right?’”

Assuming she would use the toilet first as the person leading the line, Hannah stepped inside. However, the other woman allegedly bypassed her immediately. “The one girl like pushes past me when she gets in the stall and pulls down her pants and just starts like peeing,” Hannah claimed.

“And I’m like, ‘Oh, okay. You know, whatever. We’re all drunk here, whatever.’ Um, this girl starts pooping. In the stall with me in it,” she said, mortified. To make things worse, the stranger allegedly stood up unbothered rather than asking for toilet paper or cleaning up.

“She goes, ‘I’m not going to wipe,’ and pulls up her pants. Stands right up, pulling those doodoo underwear back up. Um, walks over and puts her hands on my face and goes, ‘You’re the best,’” Hannah said. The woman then allegedly exited into the bar immediately afterward, leaving her stunned inside the stall.

The risk of sharing restrooms and neglecting basic hygiene

Hannah’s encounter is an example of shared gender-segregated restrooms often operate as informal “micro-communities” where conventional social barriers see a drop. Such places often foster rapid trust and casual intimacy among strangers, developing a temporary sense of camaraderie. This may be partly because high intoxication levels can strip away the natural caution people typically exercise around strangers.

From a public-health perspective, neglecting hygiene in shared sanitation facilities creates opportunities for microbial cross-contamination. Research published in the American Journal of Infection Control notes unwashed hands and frequently touched surfaces as important transmission pathways for pathogens like Escherichia coli.

When physical contact occurs immediately following fecal elimination without handwashing, cross-contamination risks spike significantly for surrounding surfaces and individuals. So, even though communal bathroom solidarity remains a staple of downtown weekend nightlife, extending stall access to strangers carries distinct unpredictable hazards. It’s better to keep your personal space intact, no matter how friendly the queue seems.
