Woman goes on a date with an HBO actor she met on Tinder. Then she says he found her sugar daddy profile and paid her $300 to be mean to him

It's still $300, though.

Stephanie (@stephaniematto) says she had “an absolutely horrible experience dating a celebrity,” and in a TikTok video posted in 2024, she explained what happened after she matched with him on Tinder, as reported by the Daily Dot.

Stephanie says she had moved to Los Angeles hoping to become an actress, a goal that didn’t work out. She was working and using Tinder when she matched with an actor who, she says, was big at the time on HBO.

Stephanie doesn’t say who the actor is, but she hints that his show was about baseball and that he isn’t conventionally attractive. He was, however, exactly her type.

Stephanie thought she found her soulmate

Stephanie says they went on a date, and afterward she assumed she’d never hear from him again because she thought she came off as “a little bit crazy and foolish.” Months went by without a word, which only confirmed her suspicion, though silence might be the best outcome for some first dates.

Around that time, her work was slowing down, so Stephanie made a profile on a sugar daddy website. Not long after, she says, the same celebrity texted her and admitted he had found her there.

According to Stephanie, he seemed very interested and offered to pay her $300 to be mean to him. She agreed, and she started to feel that he was her soulmate.

She says they went on two more dates, both involving her being mean to him, and the arrangement continued for about a year. Eventually, she asked whether he was ever going to make her his girlfriend.

That’s when, she says, he told her their arrangement wasn’t special and that he had the same one with three other women, including his assistant. After finding out he was seeing other women, Stephanie says she cut all ties with him.
