Atlanta woman prepaid $29 for a lash appointment. When she got to the salon, the lash tech tried charging her for more: ‘Am I about to get kidnapped?’
She was being charged extra.

Content creator Baby E (@msesanddd), who moved to Atlanta, scheduled a lash extension appointment with a local lash tech for a wedding. Despite having prepaid, she left without her lashes done after a misunderstanding with the lash tech.
“Okay y’all, I can’t tell you how to spend your money, but I’m d*** sure finna tell you who not to spend it with,” she told TikTok. Baby E said she recently moved to Atlanta and wanted to find a lash tech who was closer to home because she always has them done. She settled on YB Lash Tech, which she allegedly booked an appointment with.
Baby E booked an 8:00 a.m. appointment and needed to get her lashes done for a wedding. A day before the appointment, she allegedly received a message from the lash tech. The lash tech allegedly told Baby E that she charged the wrong card.
“Hi! I sincerely apologize—I accidentally confused your appointment with another client’s while moving too quickly and mistakenly added an extra add-on. The system allowed the charge to go through my end, and it is currently showing as pending. If the charge posts to your account within 1-3 days, please let me know so I can begin the refund process,” the alleged message from the lash tech reads. At the time, Baby E said she had already paid $29 as her appointment deposit. She asked the lash tech how much was charged, but they allegedly did not respond immediately.
Instead, she later received a list of appointment guidelines. Baby E said the lash tech had no grace period and would charge an extra $25 for latecomers. Not wanting to be charged an extra fee, Baby E claimed she arrived as early as 7:30 a.m.
More misunderstandings with her lash tech
She was already outside the building, but the lash tech allegedly didn’t send her the full address and only told Baby E to go to the third floor. Baby E also messaged the lash tech, telling her an $85.02 charge came through on her account because of the mix-up. Since she paid a deposit, the lash tech was given a total of $115. Baby E asked the lash tech to refund her $45 because the set she bought is only $70.
The appointment was drawing nearer, and she still didn’t have the full address. When she called, Baby E said the lash tech wasn’t picking up. Like this Chicago woman who paid for a $430 luxury hair service, Baby E was worried that she was going to get scammed. However, the lash tech finally replied after allegedly starting her refund. Instead of giving her door number, the lash tech messaged Baby E asking what number she saw.
“I’m like, am I about to get kidnapped? Like, what door number I see?” Baby E was perplexed and accused her lash tech of playing hide-and-seek. While trying to find the door, the lash tech allegedly instructed her to turn right and go down. The lash tech added that the set, which was supposed to be $70, would now be $115 because she “don’t work this early.”
“How you don’t work this early, and I booked on your website?” Baby E questioned. Regardless, she made it to the lash tech’s place. The content creator said she was greeted with a straight face and no welcome.
Woke up early and still didn’t get her lashes done
Instead of sitting down and proceeding with the appointment, Baby E confronted the lash tech about her pricing. Although she booked 3:30 p.m. a day before, she said she wasn’t told about the extra fee for an early booking. Baby E argued that the lash tech had time to tell her about the extra $45 charge if she wanted to come at 8:00 a.m.
Baby E alleged that the lash tech gave her a look. She explained that she still wanted her lashes done. However, she didn’t want to pay $115. The lash tech allegedly told Baby E that she didn’t like her attitude. Because the studio was technically the lash tech’s home, Baby E didn’t want the conflict to escalate.
“I’m not stupid by far, and I’m not about to die over no lashes, because you never know,” she commented. The caution isn’t unwarranted when one lash appointment in Texas became a full-blown fight between the tech and the customer. Nevertheless, Baby E was frustrated with her lash tech’s alleged lack of customer service.
In the end, she still didn’t proceed with the services of YB Lash Tech. Instead, Baby E alleged that the business charged her card four times, including the accidental $85.02 charge. She received a $10 charge, a $15 charge, and the $25 late fee charge.
