Texas woman asked her lash tech for a refund after a service didn’t work out. Then, it escalated to a full-blown fight: ‘I will always defend myself'

Cam Leslie (@cam.leslie) shared her experience with an unnamed lash extension salon in Texas on TikTok. She alleged that the lash tech physically attacked her after a misunderstanding, leaving her to defend herself.

“I’ve never had lashes before,” Cam told TikTok. It was her first time getting lash extensions, and she said she consulted with Diamond, her lash tech, about the best lash options. Cam chose a style and had no complaints about the service until the end.

“I noticed that it is hard for me to see, like, at the left eye. It was almost like it was drooping or something,” Cam alleged. While her right eye was fine, Cam struggled with her left eye. Cam said she told Diamond about the issue, but then the next client came in.

Diamond allegedly told Cam that if the issue persists, she should come back in a few days. Cam left the salon but returned shortly after. She claimed that while driving, her issue with her left eye was interfering with her driving.

“At the time, she had a client, so I had to wait an hour. I wouldn’t have been waiting an hour if it didn’t bother me that bad, but it did,” Cam said. After an hour, Diamond serviced Cam again and started removing some of the lashes. Even after that, Cam said she still had issues. Regardless, Cam left a second time with readjusted lashes.

“I even thought, I haven’t had lashes before. So maybe this is just part of it, and I’m just not used to it,” Cam said. Because of that, she left the salon and decided to wait a few more days to see if she could adjust. However, Cam later called the manager, saying she was still experiencing an issue with her eye.

Lashed out at her lash tech

Cam said she didn’t want to keep bothering Diamond and asked the manager if they had another lash tech available. However, Diamond was the only available lash tech for Cam’s schedule, so she agreed to return a third time. She clarified that she had no personal problem with Diamond at the time and only hoped to get the issue with her lashes fixed. But even after her third appointment, Cam said the adjustment still wasn’t working. Cam said she walked around to see if she’d feel better, but the feeling persisted. Disappointed, Cam decided to scrap the lashes altogether since they weren’t compatible with her eye.

She asked the manager over the phone about a refund. The manager allegedly explained that because Cam left and came back, the lash salon couldn’t refund her. Cam replied that Diamond told her to leave and come back a few days later if the extensions didn’t work out.

“As soon as I said that, Diamond chimes in and says, ‘That’s not what happened,’” Cam alleged. She said Diamond got an “attitude” with her. Frustrated by the lash tech’s response, Cam admittedly cursed.

“F*** this, just take the lashes off. Like, this is too much,” Cam said. After cussing in frustration, Cam alleged that Diamond pulled out her phone and began recording. Diamond allegedly threatened to make her go viral on TikTok. Other service workers, like this hair stylist, also called their customer out through TikTok after experiencing alleged harassment. But Cam believes Diamond taunted her, and sheresponded by swiping things off Diamond’s desk. Cam said she didn’t regret the act. But after that, Cam alleged that Diamond grabbed her. Then, Cam said she retaliated by hitting Diamond back.

Diamond defends her side

“I did not just get up off my chair and start beating on this woman. But yes, I did defend myself, and we ended up on the ground,” Cam said. While Diamond was on top of her, Cam said she tried pulling the woman’s hair to get her off. Cam denied being an aggressive person and said she had never been in a fight before. Despite everything that happened, Cam said she doesn’t regret her actions and doesn’t care if people criticize her for them. “I will always defend myself, and you should too,” Cam said.

But Diamond (@diamondwebb) also posted a story about the incident from her perspective. The lash tech alleged that Cam spoke poorly of the lash salon’s customer service but agreed to a third readjustment. Despite trying to readjust Cam’s lashes, Diamond said her customer still wasn’t satisfied. Cam allegedly agreed to have the lashes tweezed while lying down when she suggested a refund. Diamond told her they couldn’t issue a refund and alleged she’d already been informed a day earlier. However, Diamond claimed Cam became upset, so she suggested Cam speak with the manager.

Even after the manager explained, Diamond alleged that Cam started calling them “unprofessional” for refusing to refund. Diamond further claimed Cam started cussing the manager out before involving her.

“Then, she brings me into it and says, ‘Well, Diamond told me yesterday to leave and to come back,’ which I never said,” Diamond denied. The lash tech admitted she cut in to clarify that she had already tried to fix Cam’s lashes but hadn’t told her to come back. When Diamond corrected Cam, she alleged her customer blew up. Diamond said she became uncomfortable, as she was the only one at the salon. Despite trying to back out, Diamond claimed Cam sat up and said, “I’m gonna beat your a** up!” Diamond said she started recording.

Did someone get arrested?

When Cam allegedly threatened her again, Diamond said she called 911. While she was on the call with emergency services, Diamond said she was fighting with Cam. Then, Diamond said Cam accused her of holding her “hostage.” Diamond denied the claim and said she let Cam leave the lash salon. Then, Diamond said she took a photo of Cam’s license plate before she left.

Diamond said the cops arrived after Cam drove off. The lash tech submitted her statement, and her manager also arrived later on the scene. Later, Diamond said she saw Cam in the parking lot again, being interviewed by police. Diamond is uncertain whether police caught Cam or whether she returned willingly. Diamond alleged that Cam has a warrant but didn’t give further details.

Cam has not yet replied to allegations about having a warrant out. Since October 5, neither side has posted any new updates regarding the situation. Not everyone leaves a service satisfied, but this nail salon customer left a review for a nail salon that made her wait an hour for service instead of crashing out, even though she felt tempted to start swinging.
