The Insane Missing Lego Saga Just Took A Strange New Twist

This Bricks & Minifigs LEGO drama was already out of control, but things have gotten even wilder with Reckless Ben’s latest video about the situation.
On YouTube this week, Reckless Ben put out a short video called “My final message.” In that clip, the YouTuber explains what’s going on with the drama surrounding Bricks & Minifigs. And, he says that he’s not allowed to talk about the ongoing litigation anymore or else he’s going to end up in jail for it. This entire saga about allegedly stolen LEGOs has been catnip for people who love to witness Internet drama. And, this latest post is only going to dump more fuel on the fire.
For those who somehow missed out on all this gossip, we have a summary for you. In essence, Bryan Mansell is a man that was looking to sell his dad’s LEGO Star Wars collection. Now, this isn’t just some odds and ends. We’re talking about almost $200,000 worth of bricks. As a condition of the sale, Mansell was require to pay out a portion of the profit to Bricks & Minifigs. But, here’s where things get wild.
Mansell was supposed to leave the collection at Bricks & Minifigs as a condition of their deal. The LEGOs would be stored there until the sale went through. Things quickly took a sketchy turn as the Bricks & Minifigs corporate offices forced out the owner of the Oregon store. They replaced her with a new manager, and the new owners denied knowledge of any pre-existing deal. This is sketchy by all accounts.
Bricks & Minifigs LEGO LEDrama Stacks Up

All of that Would be pretty hard to prove unless someone managed to capture footage catching the new ownership in a lie. Which, is exactly what happened and the Internet immediately jumped to the side of the accusers in that case. Chrystal Gorman posted proof that the consignment deal was allowed. And, new Owners Joshua Johnsons and Brandon Best were trying to hang onto the LEGOs in question.
As Mansell tried to get his LEGO collection back, the new owners threatened the hobbyist with numerous lawsuits. Then, with nowhere else to turn, the LEGO collector brought in Reckless Ben to investigate this entire situation over the course of months. Now, Mansell alleges that Johnson and Best used local police to dissuade him from his quest for justice.
As this thing has devolved, body cam footage has come into play that would seem to indicate that there are abuses of power from the local police. Reckless Ben speculates that these members of local law enforcement all belong to the same church body. This is the kind of stuff that makes for one heck of a Netflix miniseries down the road. But for Reckless Ben and Mansell, it’s been a long ordeal that hasn’t ended for them personally yet.
Will There Be Resolution In This Case?
Things are looking a little bit more probable. Despite Reckless Ben’s latest video, there are signs that Bricks & Minifigs might want to bury the hatchet. Their company might feel the squeeze from all this public scrutiny lately. Mansell has reportedly been offered his entire collection back. In addition, any other LEGO Star Wars sets in their possession would be included in the deal.
As of the time of writing, Mansell has not accepted that offer. Reckless Ben has teased that there could be another video coming if everything ends up being resolved. For their part, Bricks & Minifigs now boasts different ownership. Johnson and Best left the company shortly after the public outcry really began to bubble up. One thing is for sure, we’ve never quite seen so much LEGO fervor. And, we might never see it again!
