  1. SDCC Exclusive: Pedro Pascal Gives Us His Take On Game of Thrones Gender Roles

Three cheers for "feminine f***ing power!"

As you might have already read earlier today, Game of Throne's Pedro Pascal was at an Ommegang beer launch party at the WIRED Cafe at San Diego Comic-Con last night and told our Editor-in-Chief, Jill Pantozzi, that he's read The Mary Sue. She's obviously much more professional than the rest of us, because she managed to work through the excitement and shock to ask Pascal some quick questions about his take on the gender roles in the show.

  2. On Behalf of Dorne, Sailor Oberyn Will Punish You

I'm pretty sure I had a dream like this once.

An attendee of last night's Game of Thrones Ommegang beer party at the WIRED Cafe managed to get a classic Sailor Moon toy in the hands of Pedro Pascal, who took to it quite naturally considering that the Martell house sigil is actually the sun. Also, we found out something very cool about Pascal's Internet reading habits. We think you're going to want to come look at this.

  3. Things We Saw Today: Game of Thrones Valar Morghulis Beer

    Things We Saw Today

Remember when HBO and Ommegang asked us to vote for the next Game of Thrones-themed beer? We totally predicted Valar Morghulis would win, and it did. The press release says, "The voting also determined the style of the newbeer - an Abbey Dubbel - which is perfectly represented by the "two-headed" coin which will adorn the labels.Valar Morghulis will be available at retail in fall of this year." We can't wait to taste it but we're still holding out for Ho-Ho-Hodor this holiday season...

  8. We’ve Tasted Ommegang’s Game of Thrones Beer!

    Winter Is Coming

In the Game of Thrones, you either drink...or you drink. There really is no alternative in the world of George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire. Fine by me, which is why I was excited to hear HBO was teaming with Brewery Ommegang to create a line of Game of Thrones-inspired beer. And even more excited when they sent me a sample of their first edition, Iron Throne Blonde Ale, to try. Let me just say, I drink beer but I'm no connoisseur, so please forgive me if I don't get into specifics.

  9. Break Out The Chalice: Game Of Thrones Beer Is On Its Way

We'll just go ahead and say it -- the thought of watching the premiere of Game of Thrones without a strong, cold, adult beverage just never really occurred to us. Considering how often the characters are quaffing, we just find ourselves in the mood. Not that anyone can blame them for imbibing perhaps a bit too passionately -- on the heels of a hard day of blood and fire and political intrigue, there's nothing quite like kicking back and putting your feet up with a frosty mug of beer. Once again, HBO has anticipated our needs pretty well, teaming with New York's Ommegang Brewery to produce a Game of Thrones inspired blonde ale that pairs nicely with pigeon pie, a whole pig on a spit, and the blood of your vanquished foes.
