This image is not the whole of the post, believe us. It’s merely a preview, a little hint of the beautiful geek wedding that lies below.

In other words: it’s just a topper.

Okay, I promise the rest of this post is better than that joke.

We love a good geeky wedding at The Mary Sue, and Jessica and Jonathan Carroll had no exception with their own, jointly inspired by Superman and Harley Quinn. Jonathan’s half of the bridal party wore leotards and draped themselves with robes that he put together himself.

Jessica decided to go a slightly more subtle route, choosing more traditional wedding atire that nonetheless reminded her of Neo Queen Serenity from Sailor Moon. But next to all that white she made sure to add Harley’s red and black, in the decor, the cake, her bouquet, and even her engagement ring:

Susana Polo thought she'd get her Creative Writing degree from Oberlin, work a crap job, and fake it until she made it into comics. Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
