Apparent road rage incident goes viral as truck tries to run motorcyclists off the road
Some drivers take things way too far.

A video taken by a motorcyclist in the Pittsburgh area showing a truck trying to run over several motorcyclists in an apparent incident of road rage has gone viral. The motorcyclist who took the video reportedly said that she and at least two other bikers were nearly run off the road by a contractor’s truck. New Sewickley Township police are reportedly investigating the incident.
In the video, a pickup truck is seen approaching the motorcyclist with the camera before it cuts off another biker on the road. The video also shows a company name on the side of the truck, and the truck crossing lanes of traffic to follow the person with the camera.
The driver of the truck had been driving aggressively before catching up to the bikers
According to CBS News, Sarah Miller, the biker who took the video of the incident, explained, “We’re out enjoying our ride, it was probably going to be the last ride of the season, given that the weather’s turning. There were two lanes; we were in the left lane, the truck’s in the right lane. He had already been driving pretty aggressive at that point. He tried to cut us off and kind of break up our group so that some would be ahead, some would be behind, and he could kind of get in the middle and I guess control whatever traffic he wanted to.”
Miller continued explaining what happened after the truck cut off one of the other motorcyclists: “Truck cut him off, and we go and merge, and then he gets behind us, and I get ran off road, my buddy gets ran off the road.”
However, when the truck driver realized that Miller was filming the whole thing, they slowed down and backed off some.
The motorcyclists had no idea what set off the truck driver
When asked what happened in the lead-up to the incident, Miller reportedly replied, “No idea. We weren’t really doing anything you shouldn’t be doing. Just out trying to enjoy the last ride, and he came out of nowhere on that side lane or whatever, and tried to get in front of us. He couldn’t.”
Miller explained that nothing quite like this has ever happened before. She also pointed out that the encounter could have gone terribly wrong, since she and her bike together weigh around 560 pounds, and a pickup truck weighs much more. A mere bump from the pickup could’ve led to injury or even death. It’s also not uncommon, unfortunately, for irate drivers to follow others home.
Though she had no intention of the video going viral or getting anyone in trouble when she posted it, Miller said from now on, she’ll keep the camera rolling when riding to capture any other dangerous driving. As she allegedly explained, when it comes to bikers, “We just want to get point A to point B safely, just as cars do. We’re never looking for any trouble. We just want to enjoy the ride, the wind, the sun.”
New Sewickley Township police have asked that anyone who was involved in or witnessed the incident give the department a call.
