Look, I’m just as much against the glue-gears-on-it-and-call-it-steampunk aesthetic as everyone else. And so, no, I’m not really sure what function the mess of gears that adorn the custom shoes of possibly now defunct Etsy shop HotAirBallonRide could have… but I do know that the shoes have LED lights you can flick on with a switch. Unfortunately, they’re probably not being offered anymore, as all the links to HotAirBallonRide’s Etsy shop that we could find 404ed. Pic of the lights below!

And even more pictures of the shoes (which also come in red LEDS) at Trendaholic.

Susana Polo thought she'd get her Creative Writing degree from Oberlin, work a crap job, and fake it until she made it into comics. Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
