Pedro Pascal and Gina Carano Are Not Friends

Pedro Pascal and Gina Carano were not exactly best buds during the actress’s stint on Star Wars: The Mandalorian.
As of late, commentators have argued that Carano was unfairly shunned while working on The Mandalorian. Contrary to what people may claim now, a new report begs to differ. Pajiba wrote about the rift between the two actors, and it sounds like 8,000,000 other workplace relationships you’ve seen in your life.
Apparently, the publication believes Carano is going to have a live-action cameo in either Star Wars: The Mandalorian or Ahsoka Season 2? Which, I mean, I guess! The only time I ever really remember her as part of the show is when she’s on the podcast circuit or the Internet is arguing about how she was “done wrong” by the studio.
Carano spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about her upcoming bout with Rhonda Rousey. And, they asked about Pascal and The Mandalorian. The actress explained that she had talked to Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau. But, she couldn’t give any specifics about returning to Star Wars.
She teased, “I won’t really disclose any of that. But, I will say that for me it was an important conversation. To Zoom, to see each other, to mend whatever, to make sure everybody was good. And everybody was good.”
As for Pascal, Carano chirped, “But no, Me and Pedro don’t keep in touch.”
Gina Carano and Pedro Pascal not seeing eye to eye

First of all, who really cares, you know? There are so many massive things wrong in this world for us to legitimately critique and get upset by. But, in true Star Wars fandom fashion, here we are arguing about two costars possibly not getting along.
In addition, we only have one side of the story we’re using to judge this entire ordeal. To put things in black and white, As with many of our jobs, Carano was given a decision. Namely, follow the protocol set forth by the production during a time of great tumult. Just like with me or you, Failure to adhere to the rules led to her departure.
The thing that’s different from most working people is that Gina Carano has the entire right wing grievance infrastructure backing her up. It would not be hyperbole to say that she spent five years working the refs trying to get back into the fold over at Lucasfilm and Disney.
threatening lawsuits disparaging other people involved with the production until a tiny window opened for her to make a grand reentrance. There’s a craven flavor to the entire saga that most Star Wars fans don’t really care about at this point. Think about it, we don’t even know where we’re going to see The Mandalorian or Grogu after this movie.
The proposed Star Wars spin off with her character at the center has been canceled for almost half a decade. With all the different spinning plates in the background for the franchise, is anyone really gonna bring that Ranger show back. We’re one year away from Star Wars: Starfighter starring the man who just had the biggest crowd-pleaser of 2026 so far.
For a lot of old fighters, this is the way. Drum up old controversies, tell the stories from the golden years and use them to secure another payday until you can’t anymore. It’s sad, but that’s the game, and it doesn’t look to be changing with Carano.
