In what is perhaps the best movie casting news ever (okay maybe exaggerating a bit), Ralph Fiennes was just cast as Bruce Wayne’s steadfast and loyal guardian and butler, Alfred, for the upcoming LEGO Batman movie spin-off. I am hoping beyond hope that his performance as Alfred will bear a striking resemblance to his Grand Budapest Hotel character, M. Gustave, who is the concierge of the titular hotel. Merging the worlds of Wes Anderson and Batman will be oh so much easier now.

Fiennes joins Michael Cera, Rosario Dawson, and Zach Galifianakis, who play Robin, Batgirl, and Joker, respectively. Batman will be voiced by the same actor who voiced him in The LEGO Movie, Will Arnett.
