Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (#NotEvenTheTitle) doesn’t hit theaters until nearly two years from now, but that doesn’t mean James Gunn is sitting on his A-Hole; in a pic posted to Twitter yesterday, the director revealed that the sequel’s first draft has already been completed.
The title page is a slightly disheartening reminder that the original’s co-writer (and the first-ever female writer for a Marvel Studios movie!) Nicole Perlman won’t be returning for round two–luckily we’ve got her work on Captain Marvel to look forward to. Perlman’s influence will definitely be missed, but as long as Guardians 2 is heavy on the Nebula, I’ll be satisfied.
Almost two more years to go! Now the editing begins:
