Florida Server Offers Fiji Water. Her Customer Kept Insisting on Having Spring Water: ‘I Was About to Make Everybody Drink Their Spit’

Servers often deal with the brunt of unreasonable demands from customers. Kenz (@cokekenz), a server from Florida was coming home at 1 a.m. after a long night. Throughout her shift, Kenz had to deal with one unruly table after another.
“I’m so [expletive] irritated, I can’t even fit all of this in one [expletive] video,” Kenz told TikTok on her drive home. She was ranting about the customers who had visited the restaurant she works at. From the story, it seems that Kenz is a waitress.
“I have a woman come in. She asks me for water, no ice, no problem,” Kenz said. But what should have been an easy interaction quickly escalated. When she brought the ice to the customer, Kenz alleged that the woman pointed out that the water was warm.
“Welcome to Florida!” Kenz said in the car, explaining that it’s only natural for the water to be warm without the ice. However, Kenz said that the woman still wanted the water to be cold—just without the ice. To that, she just walked away and moved on. There didn’t seem to be anything she could do to remedy the situation.
Then she went to the next table, and the woman there wanted natural spring water. Kenz offered Fiji Water, which isn’t technically spring water but “natural artesian water.” But it was the only other alternative to tap water that the restaurant had.
“No, I don’t want bottled water. I want filtered water from the tap,” the woman allegedly insisted. Kenz made her choose between Fiji Water and tap water, but the woman kept asking for spring water. Again, Kenz was at a loss—but she had to move on.
Even the next table had a problem with drinks.
The problems only got worse
“I don’t know what the [expletive] was going on with beverages today, but I was about to make everybody drink their spit for the rest of the [expletive] night,” the server raged in her car. She explained that when the woman came up to her on three separate occasions, Kenz didn’t even have a pitcher with her. Worst of all, Kenz was taking orders from another table when the woman just came up for a refill.
Kenz said that she proceeded not to give the woman a refill. She was through with handling drinks for the rest of the night, but her problems didn’t stop there.
Another table came in for Kenz to service, and the woman was allegedly too interested in cow anatomy. According to Kenz, the woman kept asking which part of the cow was used to serve their steaks and burgers.
“Do I look like the butcher to you?” Kenz expressed, exasperated by the strange questions. Simply put, she had no idea which parts of the cow were used to make their meat.
The server couldn’t catch a break
Moving on to the next table, a bunch of other people came in. When she asked for their order, Kenz asked them how they were as part of pleasantries.
“I’m doing better now,” one of the men said, purring at her. She was grossed out by the man’s supposed behavior and skipped the table in disgust. It was almost closing time when 20 loud diners came in. They all ordered a drink, but there was only one bartender for the night, which meant drinks would take time to prepare.
“They came up to the bar not once, not twice, but three times to ask where their drinks were,” the server alleged. She further stated that one member even came up to the manager to complain. The drinks would eventually be served, and the table would order a few more times. Kenz said that they would still keep complaining, “harassing the bartender” for drinks.
But the cherry on top was the last customer of the day.
“They order a quesadilla, no cheese,” Kenz said. She fell silent for a moment. One part of the dish’s name is rooted in the Spanish word for cheese.
“I can’t even bring that in. If I bring that in, my line cooks would skin me alive,” Kenz stated. She had a long shift, but she had enough control to walk away. Comparatively, it’s better than what this Chili’s server did to a customer who threw a drink on his face.
