Along the way, he shared behind-the-scenes memories from recording sessions, reflected on favorite vocals and songs, paid tribute to Liam Payne, and even dropped a few unexpected revelations that immediately sent Directioners into a frenzy.

Louis Had Plenty to Say About One Direction’s Biggest Songs

Some updates were playful, like dubbing “Na Na Na” “peak lyricism.” Others gave fans a rare peek into how he remembers the One Direction years.

While listening to “Moments,” Tomlinson said it was the first time he ever felt “really proud” of one of his vocals and praised Ed Sheeran’s melody. Revisiting “18,” he shared that it had always been one of his mom’s favorite songs because she had him when she was 18. He also named “Midnight Memories” one of his top three One Direction tracks, saying he still remembers writing it in London, while describing “Long Way Down” as “far too good for a ‘boy band.'”

Later, Tomlinson reflected on hearing the chorus of “Strong” for the first time, remembered how proud the band was when Liam Payne discovered his falsetto on “More Than This,” and praised Payne’s vocals again while listening to “Through the Dark.” He also questioned whether One Direction ever performed “Olivia” live, adding that many songs from the album never made it into the band’s setlist.

Reigniting One of One Direction’s Biggest Unsolved Mysteries

While revisiting Made in the A.M., Tomlinson revived discussion around one of One Direction’s longest-running fandom mysteries.

The rumored “Infinity” music video. After sharing a screenshot of the song, Tomlinson questioned whether the band had ever officially released a video for the track, writing, “Did we end up releasing the video for this? I’m sure we filmed one and it got scrapped but could be wrong.”

For longtime Directioners, the comment immediately brought back years of speculation. Fans have long believed that a music video for “Infinity” was filmed but never released, with many previously hoping it would eventually surface during major One Direction anniversaries or updates from the band’s official platforms.

Naturally, Tomlinson’s uncertainty sent fans back into that spiral of questions. One fan wrote, “SORRY THERE’S A MV FOR INFINITY?!?!?!?!?!?!????!!!!!!!,” while others began questioning whether the rumored footage still exists and if fans could ever see it.

Fans immediately responded to Tomlinson’s tribute to the late Payne, with many sharing how emotional it was to see him honor both his bandmate and the legacy they built together. “I burst into tears,” one fan wrote, while others admitted they were “unwell” and “sobbing” after seeing the posts.

Fans Noticed the Names Louis Did (And Didn’t) Mention

As fans followed along with Tomlinson’s anniversary posts, many found themselves analyzing every detail of his trip through One Direction’s catalog.

Throughout the day, Tomlinson fondly mentioned Liam Payne, both through his emotional anniversary message and his memories of songs like “More Than This” and “Through the Dark.” He also gave Niall Horan a couple of shoutouts, calling “Don’t Forget Where You Belong” “Niall’s tune” and saying “Over Again” reminded him of his former bandmate.

However, Tomlinson did not mention Harry Styles or Zayn Malik by name during his retrospective. While there is no indication that the omission carried any particular meaning, it was one of many details that stood out as fans revisited the band’s history and the relationships between its former members.
