Funny Protest Signs and Serious Demands for Transparency at the March for Truth

Recommended Videos

Today, marchers all across the United States – and the world – took to the streets “to call for urgent investigations into Russian interference in the U.S. election and ties to Donald Trump, his administration, and his associates.” The specific demands of the march, including that “Congress should require Donald Trump to release his tax returns to clarify his business interests and obligations to any foreign entity” and that “an independent commission must be established,” can be found on the official website.

Per usual, the marches included some great signs and passionate crowds. While plenty of signs pointed to the very specific question of collusion with Russia, others spoke to a democratic society’s deeper, more fundamental need for honest politicians and a trustworthy government. Even those who believe there’s nothing sinister to the Russia connections have to be disturbed by Trump’s attempts to control and obstruct the investigation process.

These marches weren’t as large as some previous efforts, but they still drew crowds in many of the “middle America” states that Trump loves to claim as his own. He’s wrong about his hold on these areas, and he’s wrong if he thinks the resistance to him will slow. As many signs said when the Muslim ban was first issued, “We can do this every weekend.”
