Channing Tatum Is Pregnant With Ghostbusters, and It’s Getting Uncomfortable

Tbh I'd watch the heck out of that movie.

Channing Tatum, who’s attached to an upcoming Ghostbusters project that will supposedly expand the universe of Paul Feig’s reboot, has said that it’s entered a “gestation period,” and he doesn’t sound thrilled about it … which I assume was a shock to his doctor, who probably expected a more enthusiastic response to, “Congratulations, sir! You can see the proton pack right there in the ultrasound. It’s a Ghostbuster!”

In an interview on the Howard Stern Show to plug Magic Mike XXL, Tatum spoke about his upcoming Ghostbusters role with a bit of trepidation, saying, “That thing’s gotten messy. I gotta be honest, there’s a lot of people doing a lot of things on Ghostbusters. There’s a lot of people in the Ghostbusters pool.”

We’re not entirely surprised, as throwing together a shared universe is all the rage right now due to Marvel’s success with their Avengers movies, and Ghostbusters doesn’t exactly sound like the best fit for that approach. We already thought doing another Ghostbusters this close to Feig’s reboot was a “too many cooks in the kitchen” problem (not to mention kind of a slap in the face), so we’re not surprised to hear people are kind of getting their streams crossed.

He’s still optimistic about a healthy bouncing baby buster, though, and said, “I’d love to do it,” but it sounds like the whole thing is in a bit of a holding pattern.

I guess we’ll learn how it all worked out in about nine to ten months.
