Awwww! Legend of Zelda Not Coming to Netflix After All

Cue Sad Trombone

Despite news earlier this year about Netflix developing a Legend of Zelda series, Nintendo’s CEO has since commented to tell us that the original report in The Wall Street Journal was inaccurate.

Satoru Iwata recently told Time Magazine:

As of now, I have nothing new to share with you in regard to the use of our IPs for any TV shows or films, but I can at least confirm that the article in question is not based on correct information.

So, the original report was inaccurate, but that doesn’t mean it can’t still happen eventually, right? RIGHT?! *sigh* What it does mean is that we probably shouldn’t hold our breaths. As of right now, Link and Zelda ain’t coming to Netflix.
