Despite the viral nature of the post, fact-checkers have repeatedly examined similar circulating versions of this footage and found proof that it is doctored. A Snopes report published on August 13, 2026, confirms the video is fake.

The original clip actually comes from a longer video with Dr. Mehmet Oz, the administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. He was speaking and referring to Sen. Katie Britt, R-Ala., during a White House announcement about maternal healthcare on May 11, 2026. The same moment from the altered fart video users shared begins at the 20:24 mark of the official stream.

Thus, the TikTok version by @jakobiewon2 is an edited, satirical remix rather than unaltered real footage. In fact, it is a scripted amplification of an existing doctored clip rather than a genuine recording of the event.
James Kennedy, an Australian content creator and podcaster, has regularly shared videos of Trump and members of his administration with added fart sound effects. Searches of Kennedy’s comedic content on his Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and TikTok accounts helped locate similar videos.
Kennedy’s content and @jakobiewon2’s video definitely draw in the laughs and reactions. However, they also serve as lasting reminders that while the digital age makes for hilarious content, one really cannot believe everything that pops up onscreen.
