Trump attends 9/11 event at the Pentagon, his conduct during it raises eyebrows
The office should publish his medical history
There was a lot of conjecture surrounding the 9/11 ceremony. From Trump not attending the New York event and choosing to attend the Pentagon one instead, to people like Rudy Giuliani standing against Zohran Mamdani attending the 9/11 ceremony simply because of his faith.
The events are now over, but the conversations surrounding them haven’t died down. One of the most talked-about topics is President Trump’s conduct during the Pentagon event, where he appears to struggle to keep his eyes open.
In videos that have been widely shared on social media, Trump can be seen blinking his eyes while they are half-shut as a person on the stage reads the names of several people, seemingly those who lost their lives during the 9/11 incident. As the video zooms in on his face and a bell rings in the background, Trump wakes from his daze before the camera shifts to the people displayed on the screen.
People are also raising concerns over Trump’s health
Since watching videos of Trump from the 9/11 ceremony in Washington, D.C., some people on social media have raised questions about his health. They noted that Trump’s face showed a significant droop, and a few people alleged it was a sign he had had a stroke.
One person, attaching Trump’s video from last year’s commemoration ceremony where he exhibited similar behavior, wrote, “Here’s Trump on 9/11 last year. 9/11 must be his annual stroke day.” Another person, sharing a collage of all the times Trump has been accused of dozing off in public, wrote, “I can’t believe the media keeps letting him get away with falling asleep on camera, even with a droopy stroke face. Unreal.”
Another person highlighted how Trump’s medical condition made him unfit to continue as President of the United States. They wrote, “He had a stroke. He’s unfit to be president. The Republican Party are traitors for refusing to replace him.”
One individual drew comparisons between Trump and former president Barack Obama and highlighted how people would have reacted differently if Obama had behaved similarly to Trump. They even referenced a recent comment Trump made in which he insinuated he was at Ground Zero shortly after the 9/11 incident. They said, “Just try to imagine Republicans if Barack Obama was sleeping through a 9/11 ceremony just days after lying about being dragged out of the rubble on 9/11…all while looking like he obviously has had a stroke..”
Trump’s health has been a concern since he became president
Since beginning his second term as president last year, concerns about Trump’s health have been frequently raised. Notably, some people believed he showed signs of dementia.
Trump even provided reasons for these suspicions through his repeated forgetfulness and his admission to taking a cognitive test that resembled a dementia screening.
