She was invited to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show afterparty. Then, a drunk woman tried to start a fight with her
She kept her cool.

Destiny Hardy (@doseofdestinyyy) got invited to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show afterparty for work. But while there, she alleged that she almost got into an altercation with a drunk woman who tried to start a fight.
“It wasn’t even my fault. I was being very nice and professional that night because I got invited to an event as a creator,” Hardy told TikTok. She lined up with her sister and said a group of other content creators was inappropriately commenting on other people’s looks at the party.
“They’re like, ‘Everybody here is AI, like, none of these people are real,’” Hardy alleged. However, she didn’t take the comment personally and laughed it off, finding it a strange conversation to have. While waiting, one of the women left the line, then allegedly came back with three other women. Hardy nicknamed two of the women Sam and Rebecca and called the third one Colleen.
According to Hardy, Sam, who was already drunk, didn’t go to the event and left early. Rebecca and Colleen stayed, and Hardy noted that the bigger group didn’t really talk to the latter. She continued, “Rebecca, she bumps into me a few times. And like, I can tell she’s drunk. Like, she can’t stand.” However, Hardy alleged that Colleen didn’t look that drunk but was starting to slur her words.
Hardy called Rebecca out when she bumped her sister. She told Rebecca to stop bumping them because she and her sister were in heels and they didn’t want to topple over. Hardy claimed that she reminded Rebecca “very nicely.” However, Colleen allegedly intervened.
“I think there’s worse things, okay? You don’t care about other people’s culture being close?” Colleen allegedly remarked. The statement confused Hardy, but she clarified that she didn’t want strangers bumping into her.
A fight almost broke out at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show afterparty
Hardy alleged that Colleen kept rambling about “other cultures,” claiming people could “be close” to others. Colleen also allegedly accused her of being disrespectful. Unlike this Black woman who received odd comments about her hair at work, which may be considered culturally disrespectful, Hardy was only asserting that she didn’t want to be touched.
“It has nothing to do with the culture thing, actually, it’s pretty f****** rude to be bumping into people, drunk as f***,” Hardy said. She turned around, but Colleen allegedly came up to her from behind. Hardy alleged that Colleen loudly told her she was from New Orleans. Then, Colleen allegedly pushed Hardy. But before a fight could break out, Hardy’s sister got in between her, allegedly warning Colleen not to start anything.
“You know what? It’s literally not even worth it,” Hardy commented. When she saw someone recording, she didn’t fight back. Security arrived and warned them they couldn’t get into the Victoria’s Secret afterparty if they kept fighting. Hardy said she ignored Colleen and waited in line. At one point, another woman came over and asked Hardy and her sister if they wanted to come with her to keep them away from Colleen. They agreed, but as they were walking away, Colleen allegedly made a fatphobic comment.
“Yeah, in your $3 dress! I wish it fit you better,” Colleen allegedly remarked. Hardy turned around and said, “So, what do you mean by that?” She alleged that she and Colleen were roughly the same size. Upset by the comment, Hardy threatened to put Colleen’s face in the concrete.
Tragedy prevented
Before a fight could break out, security returned. Hardy told the authorities that she was shoved by Colleen first, and because of that, they didn’t let her into the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show afterparty. Rebecca, the other girl who kept bumping into them, also didn’t get in. With the security around, Hardy said she gathered her composure and reminded herself she was there for work.
Hardy and her sister kept waiting in line when the large group of friends who were with Colleen allegedly came up and apologized. When it was her turn to enter the party, Hardy said she knew the security guard at the front. Hardy claimed that she reminded the guard not to let Colleen in, explaining that the woman allegedly shoved her. Although she didn’t throw hands, Hardy still got into the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show afterparty. Confrontations aren’t always the answer, as in Hardy’s case. But another woman from Atlanta also chose to quietly walk away from a friend, whom she even bought a Jeep for.
