Toy Story 3 Flashmob: Probably the Most Endearing Marketing Effort You’ll See Today

Recommended Videos

These squeeze-toy-alien-headed dancers were part of a clearly rehearsed but well meaning flash mob that materialized at some point during the opening day of E3 to publicize Toy Story 3: The Video Game.  Why did we not hear about this until now?  Allow Kotaku to explain:

Opening day? Let’s see, that puts me at the Sony press conference, cursing at the internet and tapping away at my netbook’s tiny keyboard. Not a fair trade, methinks.

Ok, so this isn’t the most impressive flashmob we’ve ever seen.  (Although teaching all those dance movies can’t have been easy.)  So why did I choose to put it up here?

Could it be because:

  1. It’s still pretty cute and the song is catchy?
  2. Toy Story 3 the movie is pulling a 91% positive rating from Metacritic, and 99% positive from Rotten Tomatoes?
  3. I can’t go see Toy Story 3 until next Friday?

The world may never know.
