Three NY moguls sentenced to 30 years in prison after allegedly drugging and assaulting dozens of women: ‘We had a work-hard, play-hard mentality’
The court focused on the "depraved" nature of their crimes.

Three brothers who once moved through the highest levels of New York and Miami real estate have been sentenced to 30 years each in federal prison. On October 27, 2026, Tal, Oren, and Alon Alexander learned their fate after a trial that exposed a decade of violence. The court found that they utilized their wealth and social status to lure dozens of women to luxury homes, parties, and vacations, where they drugged and sexually assaulted them.
The sentencing hearing was a heavy moment for the survivors. According to the BBC, twelve victims, including one who did not testify at trial, spoke to the court, detailing the deep psychological damage caused by the brothers. Maya Miller shared that after she was raped by Tal Alexander in 2014, she lost her sense of safety. She told the court, “I carry a quiet funeral within me for the person I might’ve become if this never happened to me.”
Another woman, using the name Isa Brooks, testified that she was only 16 when Tal and Alon Alexander raped her. She explained, “I had no idea the danger I was in till it was too late.”
‘Your conduct was monstrous’
Judge Valerie Caproni was clear about her view of the defendants during the proceedings. “Your conduct was monstrous,” she told the brothers. “Your crimes wreaked havoc on their lives.” When the brothers attempted to defend their actions, their words fell flat.
Tal Alexander claimed, “We had a work-hard, play-hard mentality,” while suggesting he only realized his behavior “hurt people’s feelings.” The judge was not moved by these statements. She questioned how someone who refuses to acknowledge their wrongs can ever be rehabilitated.
The investigation into the brothers revealed a pattern that allegedly stretched back to their high school years. During the five-week trial that concluded on March 9, 2026, 11 women testified that they were fed drugs before the brothers raped them. Prosecutors stated that the men often ignored screams and clear requests to stop.
These assaults occurred in places like Aspen and the Bahamas, as well as a rented summer compound in the Hamptons. Prosecutors noted that the brothers would frequently prepare drinks for women that left them unable to speak or move.

The federal indictment painted a picture of men who believed their influence made them untouchable. Prosecutors pointed to a text message Oren allegedly sent to Tal in 2021, which read, “We are on top of the game and the only thing that can bring us down is some Hoe [sic] complaining.” This arrogance stood in stark contrast to the reality they faced in the courtroom.
Their attorneys had pushed for a 15-year sentence, trying to paint the brothers as devoted fathers. However, the court focused on the “depraved” nature of their crimes. A January 2026 filing revealed that over 40 women have accused at least one of the brothers of sexual assault, according to PEOPLE. Many also shared their stories in the Peacock documentary The Wolves of Real Estate: The Alexander Brothers, which premiered on October 25, 2026.
Each brother faced accusations of forcible rape from at least 10 different women. U.S. Attorney Jamie McDonald stated, “The defendants preyed on women and young girls, using drugs and violence to incapacitate them so they could rape them.”
The professional background of the brothers explains how they maintained their influence for so long. Tal and Oren were well-known brokers for the real estate giant Douglas Elliman, representing high-profile clients like Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, and Lindsay Lohan. In 2022, they started their own firm called Official.
Meanwhile, Alon worked as an executive at their parents’ private security firm, Kent Security. Their parents, Shlomo and Orly Alexander, had raised them in a wealthy environment in Bal Harbour, Florida.
The legal trouble for the siblings is not over yet
The Alexander brothers still face dozens of civil lawsuits from their accusers. Additionally, Oren and Alon are dealing with separate criminal charges of sexual battery in Florida. While their lawyers have tried to dismiss the civil claims as “unsupported accusations,” the federal convictions remain a definitive end to their time as social moguls.
The courtroom also heard from a woman who said Tal threatened her when she planned to come forward, claiming he knew where her sister worked. This highlights the intimidation tactics that prosecutors say were part of the brothers’ routine. The judge made it clear that their status could not protect them from the consequences of their actions.
