  • Can’t get enough Friday the 13th? Well, on this upcoming Friday the 13th (October 13th), you can tour the real life Boy Scout camp where the original film was shot. Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco is the real name of Camp Crystal Lake, and while its proprietors maintain that the tour isn’t a “haunted mansion ride,” they do definitely still sell souvenirs anyway. (via SyFy)

  • A new virtual reality game is looking to assist with dementia research by targeting one of its very first symptoms: an inability to navigate. Players will be asked to guide a ship through “complex waterways, desert islands, and icy oceans,” and the resulting anonymized playthrough data will help researchers in their study. (via BBC)
