Patton Oswalt is known for a lot of things like acting, writing, and voicing cartoon rodents, but he is first and foremost a brilliant standup comedian. That’s not always an easy life, especially when you’re first starting out. In the first episode of the new series Stand Down by The Onion A.V. Club, Oswalt recounts the tale of a magical black man who haunted his early career. The story is better than the animation itself, but they come together nicely.
