Carl Sagan Gets His Own Biopic From a Team of Awesome Female Producers

Star stuff!

Although the project is still in the very early stages, Tracking Board reports that Carl Sagan‘s widow, Ann Druyan, is producing a film about the astronomer and Cosmos star’s life.

According to Uproxx, other producers on the female-led project currently include “Courtenay Valenti (Mad Max: Fury Road), Cate Adams, Lynda Obst (Interstellar, Contact), and Rachel Abarbanell.”

Considering the recent success of the Bill Nye documentary Kickstarter, it’s clear that there’s an appetite for people to learn more about the lives of America’ science icons (I just wish that women in STEM were getting their due, as well).

Regardless, let the fancasting begin! Who would you like to see playing Sagan? And we have to get Neil deGrasse Tyson in there, too!
