Guys, considering The Mindy Project was just maybe-cancelled, I think we could all use this win.

Following last week’s news that Broad City’s Paul W. Downs (Abbi’s undeterrable boss, Trey) and Lucia Aniello are attached to script a female-led 21 Jump Street spin-off for Sony, The Hollywood Reporter writes that series creators Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson have also sold an untitled comedy project to Twentieth Century Fox with Ghostbuster 3‘s Paul Feig set to produce.

THR writes that Glazer and Jacobson are not attached to star in the project and are currently working on pre-production for the third season of Broad City.

Despite the attention garnered by female-led reboots like Feig’s Ghostbusters, funny ladies still face an obvious double standard in the film industry (it’s hard to imagine a woman in Hollywood ever being given the leniency afforded a male comedian like Adam Sandler), so it’s reassuring to see Feig and another major studio banking again on the value of women. Get that paper and those office supplies, ladies.
