Twitch is known mainly as a streaming platform, on which gamers stream their gameplay, esports players hold live tournaments, and creatives share process streams, live performances, and more. You don’t need to be a streamer to enjoy TwitchCon, though. This con is for anyone who’s passionate about gaming, cosplay, music, and geek culture in general. Here are all the details we have so far.

TwitchCon Amsterdam: July 16-17, 2022

TwitchCon’s first 2022 showing will be on July 16 and 17 at the Rai Amsterdam in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Although tickets aren’t available yet, they’ll go on sale at the end of April 2022, and you can book your hotel room now using the link on the TwitchCon website.

But here’s exciting news for all you illustrators, cosplayers, musicians, and influencers. If you’re interested in performing, exhibiting, or leading a panel, now is your chance to submit a proposal! TwitchCon is accepting proposals for the following sessions and activities until March 13, with notifications for successful applicants going out by April 8:

Community panels and interactive classes. Both of these sessions focus on skillshares, master classes, and community discussions.
Artist Alley. Artists can apply for a booth to sell their artwork.
Artist Alley Digital Showcase. Artist Alley will feature screens showcasing the work of artists who are unable to attend in person.
Music Performances. Musicians are invited to perform live at TwitchCon.
MeetUps. If you want to meet like-minded folks but don’t want to host a formal session, TwitchCon is also accepting pitches for more informal discussions and gatherings.

TwitchCon is also accepting proposals for its Cosplay contest, which will award complementary badges to qualifying Cosplayers. The deadline for contest entries is May 20, and cosplayers will be notified by June 3.

Finally, drag performers can apply to TwitchCon’s first ever live Drag Showcase. The deadline for Drag Showcase submissions is April 3, and applicants will be notified by April 15.

TwitchCon San Diego: October 7-9, 2022

If you’re stateside and an international flight isn’t in the cards this year, then you can attend TwitchCon at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California, on October 7, 8, and 9. Detailed information on proposals, hotels, and tickets isn’t available yet, but the types of sessions offered will be very similar to TwitchCon Amsterdam.

We’ll update this post as we get more information, so stay tuned!
