British Woman Visits Hospital for a Rectum Exam and Agrees for a Student to Join. Then there were 5 Pair of Eyes on Her: ‘That Wasn’t the Worst Part’

I would never walk into that hospital again.

British Woman Visits Hospital for a Rectum Exam and Agrees for a Student to Join. Then there were 5 Pair of Eyes on Her

Some medical checkups require tossing your dignity out the window. But a few take vulnerability to a completely public level. For British creator Katie White (@katielbwhite), a recent rectum exam transformed into a satirical simulation when a single medical observer request turned into a full lecture crowd.

In a TikTok video that has captured over 1.3 million views, White broke down a hilariously mortifying hospital examination. Her unfiltered account proved that sometimes the real-world clinic grid is wilder than any fictional drama.

A rectum exam for White turned into a learning stage for university student

The incident unfolded when White found herself hospitalized because her rectum was quite literally “giving up” on her. While she was resting in her unit, her primary consultant arrived to execute a professional clinical checkup of the area.

Before diving into the inspection, the doctor casually noted that her case layout was particularly unusual. He politely asked if she would mind allowing a university student to enter the room to observe the process.

Adhering to a supportive, community-minded logic, White readily agreed to the student’s presence. “I just thought, oh, we’ve all got to learn. You know what? Come on in,” she recalled in her recap.

Turning around during the rectum exam revealed a full clipboard lecture crowd

Operating under the assumption that her rectum exam would feature a tight configuration of exactly two individuals, White rolled over onto her side to let the specialist proceed with his torch tool. She remained completely blind to the room’s entry perimeter during the brief physical evaluation.

The illusion of a private consultation disintegrated the absolute second she rolled onto her back. Instead of a single student standing by the bed frame, White found herself staring at an entire academic committee.

“When I turn back over, there’s five people standing in my room looking at my rectum with clipboards,” White laughed. To compound the absurdity, the group of five young professionals were intently staring at her rectum, scribbling down extensive clinical notes, and casually executing little doodles right onto their papers.

Five pair of eyes wasn’t the worst part, it was a wide-open privacy curtain

While the clipboard crowd was shocking enough, White quickly discovered that there was a more embarrassing failure. The last student to enter the room had forgotten to secure the blue paper privacy curtain, leaving the front of her room wide open to the public floor.

The oversight meant that while the medical team was busy performing the rectum exam, every single visitor and staff member walking past the main ward had a clear view of the same. The peak of the disaster occurred when Katie cast her eyes out into the hallway. She locked direct, freezing eye contact with the exact ward porter who had wheeled her to her bed earlier that morning.

White was still a good sport at the end of the day

White was too embarrassed to raise a high-volume scene in front of the crowd. So, she simply tried to re-establish a basic boundary using a polite, understated British disclaimer. “Ooh, would you mind pulling that curtain? I’m feeling a wee bit exposed over here,” she muttered to the lead consultant.

White’s hospital cliffhanger shows us that entering a teaching facility can occasionally compromise your personal space parameters in the most unbelievable ways. Her clipboard observers likely left the ward with a comprehensive set of notes. But White proved to us that surviving a public rectum exam requires nothing less than a phenomenal sense of humor.
