U.S. to Finally Get the Rey Star Wars Monopoly Pieces We’ve Been Looking For

Recommended Videos

Despite much controversy over the lack of a Rey token in the Star Wars Monopoly game sold in the U.S, it seems as though Hasbro has finally decided to listen to the outcry and have made available Star Wars Monopoly sets that include the heroine of The Force Awakens.

On July 25th, Hasbro will be releasing Star Wars Monopoly in the United States that not only feature Rey, but they also didn’t give up Finn to do it! The four included tokens are Rey and Finn and Darth Vader and Kylo Ren, creating a Force Awakens-heavy board … which is absolutely fine by me! Check out these pics courtesy of the Hasbro website:

It looks as though an eight-year-old girl made a difference with her letter to Hasbro after all! Of course, it helps to have friends in high places, and I’m sure that a pointed tweet from Force Awakens director, J.J. Abrams didn’t hurt:

According to the Associated Press, “A spokeswoman for Hasbro did not answer when asked how many people called to request a token.” My guess would be somewhere between a crapton and a shitload.

My birthday was July 11th. If anyone who knows me out there has been dying to get me a belated birthday gift, bookmark the above link!
