Diane, Kyle MacLachlan Has Teased His Return to Twin Peaks

One day my log will have something to say about this.

Following on yesterday’s news that David Lynch and writer Mark Frost are returning to Twin Peaks for a nine episode limited series on Showtime, Agent Dale Cooper himself, coffee enthusiast and damn fine closet cosplay subject, Tweeted about his potential involvement in the new series. Yessssssss.

In an interview with Deadline, Frost played it close to the chest when asked about MacLachlan’s return, saying “We hope to have more to say about that soon. I think you’ll have the answer to that sooner rather than later.” He also spoke in vague terms about which characters would be returning: “I think the fans would like to see and we would like to see as many of the old familiar faces as possible and a lot of new faces as well. We are going to keep that in mind as we start to work and hopefully everybody’s story will get some attention.”

Log Lady. LLLLOOGGGG LAAAADDDDDDYYYYYYY.

It wouldn’t exactly be surprising if MacLachlan were to return—the new season of Twin Peaks will be a sequel, after all, and not a reboot. And the original creators are involved. (It’s basically the exact opposite of the Say Anything sequel we told you about earlier this morning.) MacLachlan’s involvement is more or less a given. So. Unsurprising, perhaps, but not any less worthy of freak out-age. Which I am most definitely engaging in:
