Does the First Teaser for Zoe Saldana’s Rosemary’s Baby Remake Look As Bad As You Thought It Would? [VIDEO]

Just sayin’. 90% of the responses I’ve seen to the Zoe Saldana Rosemary’s Baby miniseries have been “Whyyy, NBC, whyyyy???!?” The Sound of Music Live! really got to us.

The Naked Gun, Murder on the Orient Express Are Getting Remakes

It might be because my brain’s in Friday mode, but I’m having a tough time imagining two films that are more polar opposites than The Naked Gun and Murder on the Orient Express. One is a classic film veritably filled with cinematic legends bringing their Oscar-worthy talents to the table. And the other is based on an Agatha Christie novel. But today the two very different films have something in common: They’re being run through Hollywood’s remake machine.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Norman Reedus Star In Too-Good-To-Be-True Casting Rumors

I’m almost sorry to tell you about these casting rumors. The inevitable choosing of different actors, however good they might be, will surely be met with a twinge of disappointment. Why do I say “inevitable”? Because Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Norman Reedus couldn’t possibly be in the Sandman and The Crow movies, respectively. The universe just doesn’t love us that much.

Good News Everyone!

Breaking Bad Actress Lands Lead In The Broadchurch Remake While The Show Gets Renamed For U.S. Viewers

Not too long ago we learned David Tennant will be reprising his role as Detective Inspector Alec Hardy in Fox’s Broadchurch remake (he’ll also be playing an American). Now two more have been added to the cast, including Breaking Bad’s Anna Gunn. While I’m not kean on Tennant playing an American in this remake, it seems to make sense considering the show’s location. And that also means a name change for the series.

The Crow Comic Creator James O’Barr Will Be Involved In The Reboot

“It is important for ‘Crow’ fans to understand that Relativity, Javier [Gutierrez], Luke [Evans] and the entire team are working on a new adaptation of the book itself. I believe that this movie will stand alongside Brandon [Lee] and his film as a valid work of art, and I look forward to collaborating on the project.” – writer James O’Barr to Variety on the fan-dreaded Crow reboot.

O’Barr created the comic back in the 80s which went on to become the film starring Lee in 1994.  We previously heard Evans had been cast in the title role and was actually a fan himself. “I remember it vividly from when I was a kid. It still resonates to this day.”

Variety also says O’Barr has signed on as creative consultant for the film and will be making an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con this year.

what is this I don't even

First Clip From Plan 9 from Outer Space Remake (Yes, I Said Plan 9 from Outer Space Remake) Is Predictably Bad [VIDEO]

But it seems to be intentionally bad, so that’s… OK? Maybe? I don’t know, my brain’s still stuck on the fact that someone decided to remake Ed Wood‘s Plan 9 from Outer Space, notoriously (and lovingly) known as “the worst movie ever made.” Frankly I don’t understand the logic of doing a schlocky, ironically funny version of a movie that was already schlocky and ironically funny to begin with, just… by mistake. It’s like writer/director John Johnson is ignoring the first rule of cult films: You can’t set out to make one.

All might be forgiven if someone spots any metal pie plates on one of the shelves in the background of this scene, though.
