There are many geeks who want to share their geeky passion with the next generation of nerds. Soon-to-be father Cole Bradburn and his friend Wes spent 3 months working on this hand-painted nursery featuring images from the Legend of Zelda games. This would be a truly amazing room for any Hero of Time to grow up in.

Bradburn had a vision through which he could share his passion for The Legend of Zelda with his unborn son; his friend, Wes (the man behind this Yoshi’s Island Nursery) made this vision a reality. The pair worked for roughly 150 hours over the course of 3 months. The walls feature the cell-shaded art from The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker and The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. Bradburn showed the world his finished product on his blog and made a YouTube video with the grand tour (see below).

The cartoony art from Wind Waker and Spirit Tracks make the feeling of the nursery calm, inviting, and perfect for infants and small children. The images of Link traveling toward adventure give the sense of the world of possibilities open to Bradburn’s son. I hope the Gears of War nursery I have planned for my future kids is just as soothing!
