Woman Feeds Shark by Hand, Still Has Hand to Pet Shark [Video]

Don't Try This At Home

This is one of those clips that isn’t exactly brand new, but has been flying under the radar for some reason. In this clip from 1999’s Shadow of the Shark, Valerie Taylor (an Australian shark expert) is seen hand-feeding a shark. She talks about the understanding they have, and how that understanding prevents the Great White Shark from leaping out of the water and turning her into chum. It is both sweet and terrifying, and it will soon be turned into a rebooted Jaws movie by Steven Spielberg — “He’s back … and he’s nice.”
