Since it debuted in the 1980s, My Little Pony has changed lives. The toy line of cute brightly colored ponies with long flowing hair and marks on their booties filled children’s imaginations. Along with the toys came an animated television show to ramp kids up into wanting more ponies, more accessories, and more adventures. Hasbro put out the lure, and we all fell hook, line, and sinker for it. I blame my My Little Pony obsession for why I dye my hair bright colors and get tattoos, or as the ponies call them, cutie marks.

After the original show ended in 1987, there was another short-lived series in 1992. When that failed, the world became devoid of cute, magical ponies who just wanted to have fun with their friends. In 2010, a new series subtitled Friendship is Magic revived the My Little Pony franchise. It ushered in a new age of ponies—and a new fandom subset called bronies. Here’s where to watch the newest iterations of My Little Pony for when you need to return to Equestria.

Where can I watch My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic?

The only place to watch the full My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic TV show is on Netflix. Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie are pony friends who live in the town of Ponyville. As much as I love the colorful ponies and their friend adventures, I’m also here for the adorable dragon Spike. The art and style of the show honored the original series while creating a new style all its own. Friendship is Magic had more robust and interesting storylines too. That’s why fans of all ages fell in love with My Little Pony all over again, or maybe for the first time.

Where can I watch My Little Pony: Make Your Mark?

In a partnership with Netflix, My Little Pony came back with a brand-new story. The movie My Little Pony: A New Generation (2021) took the Friendship is Magic series and turned it into legend. Years after the previous series, the ponies have separated into factions. Earth ponies live in fear of unicorns and pegasi. Until Sunny pushed all the mistrust aside and made friends with the other ponies. Together, they united the communities. Their adventures continued in the ongoing television show, Make Your Mark. The only place to watch the movie and series is Netflix.
