Trump Mocks His ‘Obese’ Friend on Ozempic, Says He Told Him He Looks ‘Like Sh**’
Not him dragging his friend everytime he tries to make a point
Love him or hate him, President Donald Trump has always been vocal about his feelings. Recently, he seems to have been showing particular interest in trending weight-loss drugs, especially Ozempic, and why wouldn’t he? Celebrities, several public figures, and everyday people are using it. Originally used to lower blood sugar and A1C levels in adults with type 2 diabetes, the drug has quickly shot to popularity, with people like Amy Schumer, Sharon Osbourne, and Tracy Morgan admitting to using it.
Recently, Trump once again showed his no-filter personality at a White House event, and clips from the event have generated significant buzz on social media. In one clip, Trump spoke about his “very, very heavy” friend who allegedly used the “fat drug” Ozempic to shed a few kilos.
Speaking about him, Trump said on Wednesday, “A friend of mine, very, very heavy; he’s a very obese person.” He added, “I said you are an extremely obese person. But he is a brilliant guy, he’s a Wall Street guy, he’s a brutal, brutal man, smart as hell, but he’s got a serious weight problem.”
Trump continued his tirade, saying his friend asked him not to mention his name because it could damage his reputation. Trump also mentioned that this friend used to call him Donnie, but now calls him President instead.
Trump also discussed the price difference for Ozempic in places such as London and New York, noting that it costs much more in the latter and stressing the need to reduce drug prices in the United States. The video ends with Trump circling back to his friend’s appearance, recounting what he told him directly: “It’s not working — you look like sh**.”
Trump’s “obese” friend has been part of the conversation for quite some time
This isn’t the first time Trump has mentioned his “obese” friend. He has been discussing him publicly for at least a year, using his case to make the same point: that there is a drug-pricing problem in the United States that needs to be solved.
A deep dive online, especially on YouTube, shows that one of the earliest instances of Trump speaking about his friend and weight-loss drugs was in May 2025. His rant followed the same script as his recent appearance: friend: “fat”; weight-loss drugs: costly in America; friend: not losing weight. Then, again, he raised the same concerns in January 2026.
