Woman spends $6,000 on new bedroom set from Ashley Furniture. Then she claims delivery workers bled on it and the store ghosts her: ‘robbed us’
This bed is a biohazard.

Chels (@thechelsshift on TikTok) had a delivery experience for a new bedroom set and mattress from Ashley Furniture that turned out to be a nightmare, which she thoroughly details in her video. She asks from the start that anybody watching the video repost it so that she can get as much attention drawn to the issue as possible.
Armed with a notebook in which Chels wrote down the entire experience from the start, she begins her over nine-minute story of how everything went wrong during the delivery of her bedroom set, her return experience, and her issue getting a refund.
The delivery was horrible from the start
After deciding on a new bedroom set and mattress, Chels had to wait a month for the delivery date. When it finally arrived, it went wrong almost immediately. Chels was so excited to get better sleep, and the delivery date was the same week as her birthday, so she thought this would be the best birthday present ever.
She began the story of the delivery by saying one guy bled on the furniture, which she was willing to just brush off as a mistake. Then, he started trauma-dumping on her about his relationship. She said, “I was willing to just let stuff go because I was about to get the best sleep of my life.”
However, after putting bedding on the mattress and lying on it, Chels discovered it was “hard as a rock.” Her husband reached out to Ashley Furniture to say they got the wrong mattress. After reaching out and continuing to not getting a response, they returned to Ashley to talk to a manager during the Labor Day sale in September. The original delivery was August 18.
The situation continues. Chels is told it’s a Tempur-Pedic problem, and they don’t do refunds. Tempur-Pedic claims it’s an Ashley problem and that they do have a refund policy. It took a call to corporate’s customer service to finally get the mattress picked up. However, Chels is still waiting for a refund that hasn’t arrived, even though it’s now October and the mattress was picked up on September 23.
Chels isn’t the first customer to have issues with Ashley Furniture
Ashley Furniture has been the subject of multiple TikTok videos from customers who had issues with the company and its products. One woman’s couch arrived covered in dog hair and broke when it was sat on; the replacement also broke.
A California woman had a similar experience to Chels. She bought a Tempur-Pedic mattress from Ashley Furniture for her parents, but they were in even more pain using the mattress than before. She was also told all sales were final until her video drew enough attention on TikTok.
Chels hopes that her video will also get the company’s attention and finally end her months-long fight with them.
