TikToker Orders KFC’s 50-Piece Chicken Poppers, Then Claims They Only Gave Him 35 Pieces: ‘This is What People Do, They Scam’
The TikToker called out the fast food giant.
A TikToker hoped to satisfy his fast food cravings and binge on a bucket of chicken poppers, only for him to be left disappointed when the 50-piece chicken goodness turned out to be fewer than what was advertised. Content creator Atticus (@darkandemomitskiboy) shared a video on TikTok where he personally counted each piece in a bucket.
Atticus shared that he ordered chicken tenders and biscuits, gravy, a Famous Bowl, fries, and the 50-piece chicken poppers from KFC. For his drinks, he got Coke, Pepsi, and Sprite. He also ordered an extra serving of chicken poppers, just in case the 50-piece didn’t turn out to be as many as he had paid for.
“Let’s see if there’s actually 50 in it, and if there’s not, we’re gonna have serious [problems],” Atticus said. He claimed that if the franchise failed to deliver on the correct amount, he would personally pay them a visit. “Like I will go back to the KFC and I will let it be known that I don’t get scammed. And I don’t like being scammed.”
Atticus counts the chicken poppers piece-by-piece
On the get-go, Atticus claimed that the bucket didn’t look anywhere near the promised 50 pieces, which prompted him to pay for his extra chicken poppers. He showed the viewers him counting each piece one by one with no cuts in between.
20 chicken poppers in, Atticus showed that the amount left didn’t look like it would reach anywhere near 50 pieces. “KFC? KFC?” Atticus questioned as he tapped on the bucket of decreasing chicken bites. He continued counting until 35, which was the last piece in the bucket.
Atticus called out KFC and claimed that the chicken chain was scamming people. “KFC? And that’s why I bought extra because I don’t trust you guys,” the TikToker said. “I don’t trust anybody because this is what people do. They scam. So if you were going to KFC and you were depending on 50, don’t depend on it. Because you can’t trust them.”
KFC tried to make it up to Atticus
Atticus asked, in case KFC stumbled upon his video, if they thought giving customers less than what they ordered was something to joke about. “You think this is funny, KFC? You think you did something? I don’t think it’s funny to scam your customers.”
Atticus’ video has since garnered over 2.8 million views and landed on KFC’s radar, prompting the company to rectify the situation. KFC commented under the original video, “35 is definitelyyyy not 50. Thank you for flagging this, and we sincerely apologize on our end. Could you send us a DM so we can make this up to you ASAP?”
In response, Atticus thanked KFC for apologizing, but claimed that he didn’t forgive the company and will not be reaching out. He claimed that KFC only commented on his video due to his follower count. “All I’m gonna say to you is if you want to make it right, make it right for everyone.”
