Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark lost in space, talking to his Iron Man mask in the Avengers: Endgame trailer.

The New Avengers: Endgame Twitter Image Means Tony Stark Dies, Right? Right!?

Please tell me and end this misery.

BossLogic is known throughout the Marvel community for his artwork of our favorite heroes. At the end of the day, it’s fan art, but having it recognized by the Russo brothers? That’s incredible. So when he made the Russo brothers a new Twitter header, I had some questions. Number one: Why that image of Tony Stark when the rest of the images were, at least, battle captures of our favorite characters? Number two: What do you know?

Here’s is the simple explanation of why we care about this image: We’re all very much starved for Marvel knowledge, meaning that we just want to know what happened to our favorite heroes because the last we saw of T’Challa, Bucky, Sam, Wanda, and the rest of our gang, they were dust in the wind. Now, I know that this image doesn’t have any real connection to Marvel insider knowledge … but we can’t help seeing the connections at this point. It’s all connected!

The problem is that, in true Russo brothers fashion, all of the content we have gotten for the movie has been covered in mystery. And also, do any of us trust the Russo brothers after they decided to put fake scenes in the trailers for Avengers: Infinity War just to confuse us? Then again, there is a wonderful theory that the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War was actually a trailer for Endgame, so maybe we trust the Russo brothers a little bit.

Still, I have a question about this image, and it’s all about Tony Stark. Why that picture? There are ten years of images to chose from, and you pick the one where Tony is on his deathbed because of Obadiah Stane? Are you insinuating what we’re all fearing happens does … in fact happen? Did Joe and Anthony Russo tell BossLogic something, or am I just grasping at straws? (Shhh, it was a rhetorical question.)

While we’re all aware that this is the end of the line for Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr., there is a hope in the back of all of our minds that they’ll just get to go retire somewhere, and Steve Rogers and Tony Stark won’t die. Now, the Russo brothers have claimed that Chris Evans isn’t done with his Marvel ride yet, so we have at least some little bit of hope that he’ll survive in the end, but Tony? No one is bringing up the fate of Tony Stark on Marvel’s side, and … can we not kill him? Please?

Or we’ll end up in grief counseling just like Steve Rogers in the trailer for Avengers: Endgame. The movie comes out April 26th and even though that is a little over two months away, we might not make it. We need to know what happens now
