Supergirl and The Flash Go Retro in First Musical Crossover Teaser

Recommended Videos

Gird your ears! The much anticipated The Flash and Supergirl musical crossover event is almost here and we finally have our first look. I assumed that the show would take a Buffy the Vampire Slayer approach with contemporary original tunes, but it seems like they’re going retro. Then again, I’m only going off of ten seconds.

In the official synopsis, Team Flash is surprised to see Mon-El (Chris Wood) and Hank Henshaw (David Harewood) with a unconscious Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) who has been incapacitated by the Music Meister (Glee alum Darren Criss). Unable to wake her, Team Supergirl came to Earth-1 to see if Barry (Grant Gustin) and company could help. However, the Music Meister also renders The Flash comatose and neither teams can figure out a cure.

Meanwhile, Kara and Barry wake up powerless in an alternate reality where life is a musical. In order to escape, they’ll have to follow the script, which means singing and dancing all the way to the end. So, perhaps it will be more like “Once More With Feeling” than I originally thought.

Excited for the episode? Not amused?
