Basehunters Chasing took this impressive footage of a supercell storm that formed outside of Newcastle, Wyoming last Sunday. The tower of terror was created when low pressure that formed downwind of the Rockies sprouted into an enormous thunderstorm–keep an eye out for the part when the sharks start dropping (I wish).
Supercells are long-lasting thunderstorms that rarely produce either rain or tornadoes, although that would in no way reassure me if I happened upon one.

I definitely recommend following @Basehunters for more “better you chasing that than me” weather porn, as well as updates on the impact of natural disasters.
