Streamer Hasan Piker celebrates Democratic sweep by naming two conservative figures he wants to see behind bars: ‘You’re going to jail, Jigsaw’

Piker says he has suffered reputational damage.

The political landscape shifted in a massive way on the night of November 3, 2026, as Democrats secured a sweep of both chambers of Congress. Amidst these historic results, streamer Hasan Piker took to social media to celebrate the outcomes by targeting conservative figures with promises of jail time. Piker, who has become a significant voice in progressive circles, made his stance clear while mocking Republican strongholds that fell to Democratic challengers.

Piker directed his comments toward conservative commentator Matt Van Swol after the pundit expressed frustration over a blue tsunami on election night. According to Fox News, the streamer responded on X, saying, “WE’RE GONNA PUT YOUR A**** IN JAIL EVERYONE GET MORE WOKE RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” This aggressive rhetoric continued as he aimed his sights at far-right personality Laura Loomer. Piker told her, “YOURE [sic] GOING TO JAIL JIGSAW (for being criminally ugly).”

These remarks arrive during a period where Piker has adopted a much more combative legal strategy. According to The Hollywood Reporter, his team recently launched a $72.5 million defamation lawsuit against CNN contributor Scott Jennings. This legal action stems from an August 11 incident where Jennings allegedly used a spliced video montage on a podcast to claim Piker supported lynchings.

The montage was used to criticize Abdul El-Sayed

Jennings then used that segment to urge Michigan voters to reject Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed due to his ties to the streamer. Piker’s attorney, Daniel Watkins, is signaling that the lawsuit against Jennings is just the beginning. Watkins stated there is a “reckoning coming” and noted that other people and entities will likely receive outreach from his law firm soon.

Piker himself commented on the shift in his approach during an interview with Vanity Fair. He mentioned that he had been anti-litigation for a long time but felt that people like Jennings began trafficking in outright lies, defamation, and slander.

The streamer claims these false narratives have caused him significant reputational damage and safety concerns, including a stalking incident at a public event. Piker noted the difficulty of being a primary villain in media cycles for months at a time, stating, “It’s not fun at all. It sucks.”

He is now warning others who have made claims against him to start working on their retractions immediately. Among those he is eyeing are former RNC chair Ronna McDaniel and Senator Ted Cruz. Piker previously taunted Cruz on social media after the senator reshared the montage created by Jennings.

The controversy surrounding Piker is not new to the political scene

The Twitch streamer was a central figure during the campaign for Michigan Senator-elect Abdul El-Sayed. El-Sayed faced pressure to condemn Piker, especially after images of the two together surfaced during the primary season. El-Sayed insisted his campaign was not about a streamer from California.

Piker also appeared alongside Representative Ilhan Omar in Minneapolis during the final days of her campaign. This rally occurred following a federal raid of her Washington, D.C., home linked to an immigration fraud probe. Piker’s past comments continue to draw intense criticism from both sides of the aisle.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries previously condemned remarks Piker made in September regarding American Jews, labeling them malicious and antisemitic. Jeffries stated that such comments should not be tolerated in the public square. Piker’s history of controversial statements includes past remarks about the United States, praise for Mao Zedong, and declarations that capitalists should be murdered in the streets.

Despite these controversies, Piker remains a vocal supporter of the progressive wing of the Democratic Party

He celebrated the win of Senator-elect James Talarico in Texas by doubling down on a comment that Republicans used against the candidate during the race. Talarico had previously faced backlash for saying “God is nonbinary.” Piker embraced this, posting, “GOD IS NONBINARY NOW MFS!!! ITS LAW!!!” He followed this up Wednesday morning by suggesting that Talarico should be the baseline for the Democratic Party.

The election results have certainly emboldened the popular streamer’s online presence. Democrats currently hold 54 seats in the Senate after winning in states like Texas, Kansas, and South Carolina. Votes are still being tallied in Alaska, which could push that majority even further. In the House, Democrats have already reached 228 seats.

These results suggest that the influence of far-left figures like Piker did not hinder the party as some Republicans had hoped. As the dust settles on this election cycle, it seems Piker intends to keep the pressure on his political rivals through both his online platform and his newfound legal aggression.
