She celebrated her birthday with her best friend. Their friendship got tested over Lululemon
They weren't even her size.

Taylor Powell (@powelltaylor24) was celebrating her birthday with her best friend. She didn’t think that a trip to Lululemon, her favorite store at the time, would cause a rift between her and her best friend.
“Me and the other girl on the trip love Lululemon, and we would rave about the leggings. But my best friend at the time had never been in a Lululemon and never bought anything from there,” Powell told TikTok. It was her birthday, and she was on a trip with her ex-best friend and another girl.
Powell told her best friend about her comfortable, stretchy Lululemon shoes. She was proud of the pair and considered getting another in a different colorway. Powell emphasized, “I’m a size eight and a half. She’s a size nine to nine and a half.”
She wanted to stop by the Lululemon outlet at their location and look for sales. Lululemon clothes are trendy, and some go to great lengths to take other people’s leggings. Another woman reported that her supposed “friend” stole her Lululemon clothing and left her unhoused within 24 hours. While Powell wasn’t kicked out of anyone’s home, what her friend did next made her question their relationship.
“Another thing to note is that my favorite color is pink. My favorite color in the entire world, everything that I have is hot pink,” Powell claimed. However, she said that her best friend was the opposite and hated the color pink.
“We spot a pair of hot pink shoes, and from across the place, they look exactly like the ones that are on my feet,” Powell said. She and her friend looked at each other and made a beeline to the shoes.
Lululemon tested their friendship
Her best friend allegedly got there first. She grabbed the shoes and supposedly said, “Oh my gosh, I can’t believe we found these.” Powell alleged they were the exact pair, and they were eight and a half. The shoes were $29 on sale, which added to her excitement.
“I cannot believe my birthday luck. This is amazing,” Powell said. But her friend allegedly gave her a confused look. She told Powell that she found the shoes first. Powell replied that they weren’t her friend’s size. Regardless, her friend tried the shoes on and allegedly made them fit.
“Her toe is jamming out the end, but I can just tell by the look on her face that she is gonna buy these shoes and she’s not gonna let me buy them,” Powell alleged. She let the issue go because she didn’t want to start a fight during her birthday trip. But because she wanted the shoes, Powell told her friend that if she got tired of them, she’d buy them from her for $29.
About three months later, Powell said her friend started complaining that the Lululemon shoes hurt her feet. Her friend said she was cleaning out her closet and planned to get rid of the shoes. Powell offered to pay, but her friend refused.
Two days later, Powell followed up on the shoes. Her best friend apologized, saying that her husband accidentally donated them to Goodwill. She continued, “To this day, I don’t know if she actually donated them or if they’re still sitting in her closet on the shelf, just to spite me. But I wouldn’t know, because we don’t talk anymore.”
Powell clarified that their friendship ended over other issues, which she didn’t disclose. However, those issues led her to believe her ex-best friend hated her. But no matter how long the relationship, not all friends are true friends. One woman from California, who fell out with her friend over a locker, even almost got featured on Judge Judy.
