Server’s customers had no complaints about their steak until they billed out. Then, the manager found two ‘souvenirs’ the couple tried to takeout
The takeout item wasn't edible.

Stephanie (@stephaniiiieann), a server from an undisclosed restaurant, waited on a couple who seemed to have no issues with their food. When the bill arrived, the couple allegedly complained. To top it all off, they allegedly packed an unconventional takeout item with them.
“I do not understand why people do this,” Stephanie told TikTok. She explained that she works as a server and waited on a husband and wife. She dropped off their food and asked if everything was okay, and the couple said yes. Stephanie allegedly double-checked with the wife and asked if the steak was cooked to her liking because she ordered a medium-well. After cutting into the steak, Stephanie alleged that the woman confirmed that it was okay.
Stephanie left but came back later to check on the couple again. She asked if they wanted anything else and offered steak sauce. The couple allegedly insisted that everything was fine and that they didn’t need anything else. Stephanie said she returned a third time and asked if they wanted takeout boxes or wanted to order dessert. The couple allegedly requested two boxes, and Stephanie complied.
Before that, she noticed that the woman cut her steak up into bite-sized pieces. Regardless, Stephanie returned with the boxes. Then, Stephanie alleged the woman asked her, “Do you have a manager on duty right now?” From that moment on, she realized something was wrong. Stephanie told the couple that she would get the manager and excused herself from the table.
She told the manager she didn’t understand what was going on. Stephanie also told him she checked on the couple multiple times, and they allegedly never complained. Eventually, the manager went to their table and asked the couple. By then, Stephanie alleged that the woman had already packed the takeout.
A special takeout item
“She freaking tells the manager that her steak wasn’t cooked the way she wanted, and she didn’t like it,” Stephanie alleged. In response, the manager allegedly told the woman to open the box so that he could check what was wrong. There, they found an unusual takeout item that easily beats this croissant-like dinner roll from Texas Roadhouse.
“And she opens the bag up. She had both our salt and pepper shakers in the bag, just chilling in there,” Stephanie claimed. The manager, confused, allegedly asked, “Is that my salt and pepper shaker?” It’s unclear if the couple confirmed. Regardless, the manager allegedly agreed to remove the steak from the couple’s bill after checking it. The woman was pleased with the resolution, and the manager took the salt and pepper shaker away from the box.
“Their bill was $32. They gave me $35,” Stephanie said. The couple allegedly told her to “keep the change,” even though the restaurant allegedly compensated the woman’s entire meal. Stephanie was upset by the experience. She explained, “There are several parts of that story that really perturbed me. But the one in particular that really annoys me is how it seems like I didn’t do my job. It seems like I didn’t check on them. It seems like I didn’t ask all of the right questions,” Stephanie said. She didn’t understand why the couple waited until the very end to tell her manager something was wrong when she allegedly kept asking if they needed assistance throughout their dining experience. But Stephanie isn’t the only server who’s had a rough time with her table. A server in Virginia went above and beyond at her waitress job, only to realize the couple she was serving roped her into a role she didn’t sign up for.
