Game of Thrones Weapons Master Tommy Dunne is tasked with creating all of the various daggers, whips, and swords of Westeros—basically, he’s indirectly had a hand in killing most of your favorite characters. In this video for Season 5, he shows all the new toys he made for Areo Hotah and the Sand Snakes of Dorne, who—spoiler alert!—all appear to have switched weapons with each other since they first appeared in the books. Sorry, Tyrene, you get Nymeria’s daggers now. I guess poisons are for chumps. And sigh, that boob armor, guys.
Also, this is nitpicking because it really is a very beautiful weapon, but doesn’t what Areo Hotah’s carrying looks more like a glaive or a spear than an axe? Which, hey, not complaining, I love me some glaives. But come on, Norvosh, that is some false advertising with your longaxes there. This is why no one cares about you as a free city.
